“Im in” competition held at Woking 2017

OUTSTANDING RESULTS FOR GYMNASTS

 

Central to gymnastics at Leatherhead & Dorking  is its “ IM IN” programme for gymnasts with disabilities. With  nearly 50 gymnasts in its programme the club is committed to making the sport available to all children irrespective of their level of disability. Participation is the most important to these gymnasts but they also enjoy competition. At the “Im in” competition held at Woking nine gymnasts achieved wonderful success winning 5 Gold Medals , 1 Silver and 1 bronze medal.

The winners were Millie Conway,Alex Plumpton , Tom Symcox, Teri Skelton and Kesia Symcox who also won the trophy for the highest overall score. Patrick Shortman won silver and Zoe Cronin Bronze.Close to the medals were Emily Lowe and Charlie McMaster. The gymnasts are coached by Dawn Leach, Eloise and Kevin Littell .

In July the club will be hosting the first South East Gymnastics Competition for children with Disabilities.
