Charity Governance

Supporting Gymnastics in Our Community

Leatherhead & Dorking Gymnastics Club is a registered charity dedicated to providing high-quality gymnastics opportunities for children and young people in our local community.

For many years, our club has helped thousands of gymnasts develop confidence, resilience, discipline and lifelong friendships through the sport of gymnastics. We believe every child should have the opportunity to reach their potential in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.

As a charity, every penny we generate is reinvested back into the club. This allows us to continually improve our facilities, invest in equipment, support coach development and create opportunities for gymnasts of all abilities to participate and progress.

Whether a child joins us for fun and fitness or dreams of competing at a national level, we are committed to helping every gymnast enjoy their journey.

Our Governance

Leatherhead & Dorking Gymnastics Club is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees who are responsible for ensuring the charity operates in accordance with its charitable objectives and legal responsibilities.

The Trustees oversee:

  • Safeguarding and welfare

  • Risk management

  • Compliance with Charity Commission requirements

  • Supporting the long-term success of the club

The Board works closely with our coaching and administrative teams to ensure the club continues to provide the highest standards of coaching, safety and community engagement.

Meet the trustees

  • "The enthusiasm of gymnasts, the encouragement of parents and carers, and the loyalty of our wider club community is what give Leatherhead & Dorking Gymnastics Club its identity."
